2006 National Heads-Up Championship to premiere Sunday on NBC
The 2006 National Heads-Up Championship from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas will premiere on NBC this Sunday at 12 PM EST. The tournament features 64 of the worlds best poker players playing in a single elimination heads-up tournament for a first place prize of $500,000. This will be the first of 6 consecutive telecasts on NBC with the final episode and championship match to air May 21st at 1 PM EST. This heads-up format should make for some interesting viewing as both players are forced to play marginal hands aggressively and puts an emphasis on reading your opponent.
