$2 Million Dollar Turbo Takedown Awards $200,000 to Mombasi

The free money was flowing for a unique promotion by PokerStars via their $2,000,000 Turbo Takedown event. The entry fee was based in FPP (frequent players points) and a plethora of satellites to the 10,000 FPPs cost of entering were played around the clock. Unfortunately this player was stuck doing things like drinking Mexican beer in a border Mexican town and golfing while on vacation, as the whole Turbo Takedown promotion was open and closed in only a week.

$10,000 real money was the minimum final table money awarded for the cost of an Apple iPod from the excellent PokerStars.com FPP store. Not a bad return on investment there. Mombasi walked away with the huge 1st place check of $200,000 when he and runner-up "Tobededope" couldn't reach an agreement when they were knotted in chips. I think the $120,000 runner-up money might ease the pain a bit.
