Poker is gambling, granted it is one of the few games you'll find in a casino that a skilled player does hold an advantage. But, in the eyes of the federal government Poker is no different then wagering 18 cents on a colorful video slot at HappyTime Casino (may or may not be real, but could be). We want to call poker a skill game because it is time proven that the better players do profit by playing the percentages and playing the player better then those who walk away from the felt with an empty chip rack more often then not.
Online poker is of course under siege from the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and one group, the Association of Players Casinos and Webmasters (APCW) has been cranking out excellent videos for the layman to understand how the government is going about with all the new rules and regulations concerning the UIGEA.
