APPT Finale Begins

The newly popular Asian Pacific Poker Tour is currently finishing up its first season in the land down under with its Grand Finale in Syndey. The Star City Casino is hosting the inaugural event, and with three different flights bolstering the event it appears that the APPT will be sailing across the Pacific Ocean for years to come.

Three of the former World Series of Poker Main Event Champs signed up to take home what is sure to be a sizable prize pool considering the field and PokerStars' guarantee that the winner will get to line his/her bankroll with $1 million aussie bucks. Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, and in his native land Joe Hachem will try to keep the title firmly at home in Sydney.

Mention the name of Michael Guttman to many local players and you'll be met with a blank look, as the Melbourne veteran is better known by his nickname 'Sticky Micky'.
