BBT3 Week 6 Update: Waffle House Dreams

Not writing if I'm not winning.
My game lately has been all about new ways to lose, be it bad cards, no cards, bad beats, or apathy towards trying to snag a seat to the Tournament of Champions which awards two $12,000 packages for the biggest poker tourney of them all, the World Series of Poker Main Event! This week I did manage to slip into the points with a strong showing at normally my worse game NLHE 6-max during the Hoy's weekly tourney. With only my 3rd "in the points" finish out of 18 tournaments participated in; I had a deep internal conversation with myself on how I view myself as a semi-serious poker player and student.
Answer: Need to get over myself
I prided my game on the ability to let the bad beats flow as regular variance, and I've let the recent downturn of cards effect not only my ability to have fun (as prescribed by well-known poker author Ed Miller in this great article), but to be friendly with the other players in this series. Tonight's tactic will be to play without caring about the results. At least that will be shell I'm putting on until someone cracks my aces.
Hop over here to see who's recently qualified for the big dance at the end of May, including last night's winner and self-proclaimed "Worse Poker Player" Waffles!
