Blogger Satellite to Rio
Filed in archive Poker Blogs on April 16, 2007
Internet poker has been a gateway to the World Series of Poker ever since a little known accountant decided to enter a $25 satellite on PokerStars and became a Millionaire. Chris Moneymaker proved that anyone with a little skill, a little luck (or a lot depending on who you talk to), and leaving your weak/tight game at home, can become the World Champion of Poker by taking down the main event of the WSOP.
Poker bloggers have qualified for the WSOP on their own several times over the past three or four years, and a few of us have even managed to take a chunk of the prize pool after making the appearance. In the past, we would hold several different qualifiers to play in the $2K events by pooling together modest $25 or $50 buy in tourneys in exchange for some colorful recap of their bluffing Phil Ivey with the hammer, or staring down a table full of Full Tilt pros while pondering a check-raise with the nuts.
With the new restrictions on funding our online accounts it has made it more difficult to gather the bloggers together for a run at a possible WSOP bracelet. Enter the SoCo soaked braintrust of AlCantHang and once again a fellow internet scribe (or even me!) will be dancing with the card stars in July at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
If you are a blogger and interested please read the below info on the Full Tilt blogger satellite:

Password: READ BELOW
Bloggers to the World Series. Post it all you want, just leave out the password. In it's place put "email blogger_wsop@yahoo.com" and I will give out the password to bloggers only.
Also, FTP told me that the payout structure will look like a normal MTT until we hit the $1500 mark when it will change to the satellite.
Cheers!
