Buddy Dank at the Borgata Day 3

Podcasts are one thing.

Live blogging another.

But, combining the two for a poker tournament with the flavor of a radio show has been a treat for those who have been listening to Buddy Dank Radio for the Battle of the Blogger Tournaments. Currently at the Borgata, Buddy Dank, Instant Tragedy, and Riggs have been bringing live coverage of the Atlantic City casino's $500,000 guarantee tourney. The tourney itself attracted so much attention due to its slow structure they had to turn players away!

On the spot interviews with players you probably wouldn't recognize from watching TV, they are delivering a product that isn't readily available outside of the World Series of Poker (Bluff Radio) and concept might quickly catch on for more broadcasts of "smaller" events. Armed with live blogging the tourneys major events plus spinning a morning-drive type radio show, doubles the pleasure of following a poker tournament for virtual railbirds like myself.

Granted places like Pokerstars.TV and PokerNews.com have a polished, professional product that brings the funny along with serious poker chat, Buddy Dank's LivePokerRadio.com is bring a great show with the feel of pirate radio to it.

As for the tourney according to the live blog, 21 players are returning today with Matthew Millikan as the chip leader.
