Chorny Crowned EPT 2008 Grand Finale Champ
Having the most chips entering the final table helps, but only if you're holding all of those chips at the end does it matter what you started the table with. Glen Chorny, a PokerStars Qualifier, outlasted Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari, and internet (and soon-to-be) live phenom Isaac Baron on his way to winning the European Poker Tour's Grand Finale in Monte Carlo.
Picking up over two million Euros for the victory, I'm sure Chorny will opt to buy in to the next few EPT, and World Poker Tour events (after picking up a wheelbarrow full of American Dollars after the exchange). The final hand with second place finisher Denes Kalo came nearly 12 hours after the final table began, yet only one minute after the third place finisher, Maxime Villemure, got coolered with a lower straight versus Chorny's nut straight.

From there it was less than a minute later that this mamoth contest was completed. After nearly 12 hours of play Glen held a ten-to-one chip lead over the Hungarian. Kalo knew his chances relied on acting fast. He found KhQd and made his move, raising first, finding Glen moving all-in and calling in a shot, showing his Ah5h.
