David Benyamine Shows Tournament Chops in WSOP O8 Win
If you play at Full Tilt and love to watch the high stakes games like I do, one name is constantly shown across the board in all games. David Benyamine is a fixture among those who constantly put a house on the line with a flush draw but he's the only one who will do it across five different forms of poker. At the 2008 World Series of Poker, Benyamine was able to add a bracelet to his long list of cash game successes.
Benyamine's win came at the $10,000 World Championship of Omaha Eight or Better or also known as WSOP Event # 37. The road was not easy as the final table consisted of several bracelet holders and well known pros. Mike "The Mouth" Matusow recent picked up his third bracelet, but only managed a fifth place showing taking home $138,062. David Chiu recently won the World Poker Tour Championship, and added $88,360 to his bankroll for his eighth place finish.
It was Benyamine's night to shine as he took a 3 to 1 advantage into heads up play against Greg Jamison and took down the final pot when his flopped set caught Jamison's flopped nut straight on the turn when the board paired giving Benyamine an unbeatable full house and the $535,678 for first place.
