David Singer Notches First WSOP Bracelet in Event #3
Professional poker players are allowed to call themselves as such because generally they are better then your basic $.25/$.50 game with the guys after hitting up Dave and Buster's on a Friday night. Some of these have sponsorship deals and backing deals simply because their talent allows for a profit to be derived from their superior play. Yes, poker's luck element pops up on the turn and river but when you see Full Tilt or Team PokerStars pros sitting at the final table of the World Series of Poker event there's a reason they have a patch/jacket/hat with the online site's logo on it.
This year already at the WSOP, two very successful pros managed to add a new notch to their pro poker career belts here's a write up about one of them:
David Singer, Full Tilt pro, and winner of over $4 million in tournament lifetime earnings took down Event #3 $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold Em' at the 2008 WSOP. After having the second lowest stack at the table, Singer managed to outlast runner-up Jacobo Fernandez for his first WSOP bracelet and $214,131.

Next article will be about another Full Tilt pro getting his first…
