FTOPS #6: "fkscreennames" Takes Down the Main Event
Filed in archive Internet Poker on November 19, 2007
I guess players were just waiting until the last minute yesterday, or they just happened to find $535 to pony up for the Full Tilt Online Poker Series Main Event, because as I wrote yesterday they were 1,000 short of the $2 million guaranteed prize pool with one hour to go.
But, in the end 4,371 hopefuls gathered enough online cash to award $385,000 to the winner. Full Tilt pro Aaron Bartley, who final tabled the $2,500 buy in event making his day at the virtual tables upwards to nearly 20 hours if not more, joined David Chiu, Mark Vos, and known Canadian Eddy Scharf in the money.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay up past my kids' bedtime to watch the event because of some yard work that sapped all of abilities to even click on the various tables. But according to Full Tilt.com "fkscreennames" who probably doesn't enjoy coming up with witty online monikers like 9th place finisher "HipHopNDontStop" took down the event for $385,937.45 and will now have access to the cool FTOPS champion football player icon for his win.
I'm sure he/she likes the cash a little more though.
