FTOPS IX: Successful Start for Full Tilt
The ninth edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series is starting off strong three events in the books and a fourth going off right now. All events have made their guarantees including the massive Event #1 $200+$15 No Limit Hold Em' tournament that saw 5,779 players shoot for a tank of gas less then $200,000. The loveable orange cat GARFIELD25 managed to avoid every Odie and Jon on the tables and retain the chip lead for most of the final table clawing out a $199,382.62 payday by winning the first event.

Event #2 was my favorite form of poker, PLO8 (although there are some choice words I have for the poker gods lately). The $240+$16 event had the bonus edition of knockout bounties awarded for each player you stacked. Teledonk phoned in a winning combination good for $51,210 in taking first place.

If you go to the Full Tilt poker's recaps of the events there's a very cool addition to the listing of the money winners. Event #1's final table is commentated by TV poker announcer Ali Nejad along with a video of the big hands from the final nine.
