Hitting From the Hazards

Many people can take different paths to lining up a golf shot. Whether it be a set of well thought-out steps memorized from lessons given by a local club pro. Or because you were laying on the couch Saturday afternoon and happened to watch tiger woods
hit a few shots during the Masters.Of course after driving 45 minutes to the local chip and putt, overpaying for the green fee, spending six bucks on a beer, then hitting the box of Titleist golf balls you picked up at Target earlier on your way home from work into the various water and tree hazards... your perception of a nice calm day out on the links has gone out the window.
Much like my recent journey into Tiltville on the poker tables.
Bad Beats? One out or two sir?
Bad Calls? There's rarely a good one.
This past weekend I managed to make 25% of my bankroll disappear into other people's virtual stacks by a whirlwind of calls my three old son might ponder on, and a little bad luck. Little meaning the only thing going right was my ability to properly make myself a bacon and cheese omelette for breakfast without causing fire damage outside of the kitchen.
If you've played long enough these streaks happen. Streaks where the only sure thing you've got going for you is your ability to weather the storm and not allow yourself to tilt off more money then the cards dictate.
I'll leave an article about how I deal with the tilt monster until next time. Until then check out Ryan over at Absinthetics as he writes about how people deflect the blame of tilting. And tells you exactly who you should be blaming.
Until then make sure you're keeping up with the Aussie Millions via Pokernews as they are in the money playing day 3.
