Hyman Wins the Wynn

Tournament poker has spawned many new "celebrities" sporting various online poker room gear that carry the weight of their sponsorship deals. Of course, they got the deals due to their play in various televised tourneys such as the World Series of Poker or the World Poker Tour over the years.
Of course once in a while they actually do well in a big tourney to earn those walking ad dollars, like in the 1st Wynn's Poker Championship $10,000 Main Event. With a star-studded final table there will be more anticipation for the next Wynn tourney. As always, Flipchip from LasVegasVegas was on hand to snap some excellent photos of Zachary Hyman walking away with first prize and nearly $750,000.
Here's a snipet of the "name-branded" final table as describe by the Poker Prof:
A final table loaded with poker's elite. 2004 WSOP phenom Scott Fischman-seat #5, multiple wins in major tournaments define the talents of Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi-seat #4, really big game regular Chau Giang-seat #8, WSOP Main Event final table regular Mike "The Mouth" Matusow-seat #7 and the poker legend Poker Johnny Chan with a record ten WSOP bracelets including two for back to back wins in the WSOP main event.
First to go was Chau Giang followed by Johnny Chan. Scott Fischman was sent home and Michael Mizrachi soon joined him. Of the big name pros only Mike Matusow remains, but not for long when his all-in put him out.
Winner Zachery Hyman of San Fransisco swept the field for the win, the Wynn trophy and $749,033 in cash. Hyman sent Chris Moore home to Chicago with $192,060 for third and set up the heads-up match with Ted Lawson. On the final hand, it was a flopped straight for Hyman; but, he had to hold off Ted Lawson's set of Queens on the turn. The river was an inconsequential deuce and Zackery Hyman becomes the first Wynn Classic Poker Champion. Ted Lawson takes $384,120 back home to Plantation, Florida.
