Jamie Takes the "Gold" in 2006 WSOP Main Event

Former Hollywood agent, Jamie Gold, is the winner of the 2006 WSOP Main Event. According to Poker News, Gold check raised runner-up, Paul Wasicka, after a flop of Qc 8h 5h with the Q9o. Waskicka, holding 1010 and thinking that Gold was on a draw called with 1010. The board did not change either hand and Gold had defeated 8.773 players to win the title. Gold dominated the tournament with his talkative style of play almost baiting players to call his huge bets and raises. Gold took home a record first place prize of $12,000,000.
