The next post will explain how the world of online poker is moving forward towards gaining legitimacy in the United States. Unfortunately this country is not completely full of forward thinkers and we'll learn about one such person from the state of Kentucky.
Governor Steve Beshear is not a fan of online poker/gambling and shows it by his outlandish attempt to ban online poker domains within the state of Kentucky via lawsuit. He's is not exactly taking on online poker/gambling (but is naming a bunch of the sites in the suit) but actually going after what can/cannot be taxed on the internet.
Well played sir. While people like Barney Frank actually have the people in his mind who play on these sites doing what they want voluntarily. Play poker; gamble a little, spending money they earned the way they want. Why should someone have the right to tell me how to spend my little free time in between changing diapers and busting out hours in corporate America?
For the entire write-up on this backward thinking, check out Pokerati for the lawsuit and their additional thoughts on the matter.
