Myth: Limit Hold Em' isn't played much any more because the sexier no limit games

Fact: The seventh edition of the World Championship of Poker at PokerStars, a $215 limit hold em' affair, managed to cram over 2,000 players into a mid-week tourney and beat its guarantee by over $300,000

Just because you don't see something on television doesn't flip over to what's happening to those players that don't appear at the final table of major tourneys like the World Poker Tour or World Series of Poker. Limit hold em' is the bread-and-butter to any poker player's arsenal who's learning and wishes to expand their game to no limit or Omaha.

Nine players took twelve hours who made up the final table of this WCOOP event that would award $80K and a WCOOP bracelet.
