Mike Sexton wins 2006 TOC
Poker News reports that Mike Sexton defeated Daniel Negreanu in heads-up play to win the 2006 Tournament of Champions. The 27 player select field was comprised of WSOP Circuit Event winners, the final 9 players at the 2005 WSOP main event, and several sponsors exemptions. Mike Matasow, the defending TOC winner, had a good run again this year and finished in third place. Sexton received $1,000,000 for his victory and Negreanu received $325,000 for second.
