The World Poker Tour is kicking off its sixth season of minting new millionaires to the TV sets of cable subscribers everywhere. This coming season will have a little twist as previous providers of the poker telecasts, Travel Channel, will not be showing the sexy hostesses and monstrous cash presentations this season. The Game Show Network, riding the wave from its ever popular "High Stakes Poker" cash game show, will be picking up the slack while Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten return.

The Mirage Poker Showdown has been around for many years and will be host to several preliminary events leading up to the WPT $10,000 Main Event on May 19th-May 23rd.
