While the Full Tilt Online Poker Series continues to be a success, the biggest event of the ninth edition to date had a slight overlay as they failed to reach their guarantees over the weekend.

Event #10's $300 + $22 No Limit Hold Em' tourney pulled in an impressive 4,985 players, making this the first event of FTOPS IX to give a slight overlay. The event hosted by Erik Seidel only had two "red" letter pros finish in the money as Paul Sexton lasted till the 300s while Scott Clements snuck into the prize pool that paid 648, in 641st place. Harlido took home over a quarter of a million dollars in taking the title for defeating P0KERPR0 heads up.

Eli Elezra hosted Event #12 a 6-max No Limit Hold Em' tourney that carried a sizable price tag of $1,000+$60 to event with a guarantee of $1.5 million in the prize pool. Fortunately for the players, they got a slice of Full Tilt's money again as 1,405 players ponied up the cash or tournament dollars for $95,000 in overlay bucks. A very successful run by two red letter pros, Ram Vaswani made the final table a took home $72,750.00 in fifth place, while Phil Gordon was the final table bubble boy in seventh but got $30,750.00 for his troubles. The $300,000 first prize went to bmf823 who edged out Garbally heads up.

Stay tuned for more updates.
