Paradise Poker Making A Move
ParadisePoker was a online poker home of mine several years. While playing in the tourneys with a virtual rum and coke sitting on the round table next to my ovalized logon name and hearing the inevitable bust out noise and exploding graphic when my Aces went down to that kid with the Pina Colada sitting to his right.

It was also one of two places where you could find a Crazy Pineapple game. For those unfamiliar with the Pineapple variation of Texas Hold Em', you receive three cards instead of two pre-flop, and discard one pre-flop (regular Pineapple), or discard one post-flop (Crazy Pineapple). That game launched my love for the wacky four card flop game of Omaha and Omaha eight or better.

Since breaking away from the US market after the UIGEA and also breaking ties with Sportsbook.com, the poker traffic wasn't near its previous levels when ParadisePoker was one of the original internet poker sites. But now, ParadisePoker is teaming up with Boss Media Network to offer virtual cocktails across the pond.

Here are the details from Pokerlistings.com:

The merging of Paradise Poker into the Boss Media fold is now, finally, on the doorstep: the software shift is to be completed in May, and once done the network will be one of the busiest in Europe, with over 10,000 active, real-money players a day.

Considered one of the original online poker sites and a market leader since its launch in 1999, the shift for Paradise Poker will see Sportingbet retain the Paradise brand but give players access to a whole new realm of possibilities.

Joining the Boss Media Network - a Swedish Internet gambling software and service provider for several leading online poker rooms, including CelebPoker - substantially builds the player pool, provides more options for tournaments, improves customer services and allows for much larger promotions than ever before.

"The strengthened partnership will enable the two companies to work together to bring second-to-none e-gaming products to the market," said Johan berg, Boss Media chief executive officer in a press release.

"Our independence combined with size," Berg added, "now makes Boss Media's partner-based poker network one of the most attractive on the market."
