PCA #4 Begins Today
After the build up of the past two months worth of sub qualifiers, sit and go steps, and rebuy madness to get there, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has the cards in the air today. Located once again at the atlantis resort and Casino in the Bahamas, they capped out their field at a record breaking 1,200 runners for this European Poker Tour event.

At least two players will go home as a millionaire at the final table which is set for a few days from now. Along with the live blogging from the PokerStarsBlog.com team, you can hit up the European Poker Tour website on January 9th for a free web stream of the tourney.

Since the online site sent nearly half of the field... some of them are there on PokerStars' dime as Howard Swains reports:

Among the FPP qualifiers here in the Bahamas is Joan Schank, from Miami, Florida. She took up poker a couple of years ago, playing for play money on PokerStars, getting a feel for the software, the game and the way these tournaments go. She soon graduated into the real money ranks and earned 70 FPPs that she used to enter a satellite into a satellite, prevailing in both and successfully climbing a double-runged ladder into the main event.

To put things into perspective, a stress ball at the PokerStars store costs 400 FPPs. Joan is in the Bahamas for less than a quarter the price of that. Her, her husband and daughter made the trip, and so far they're having a blast.
