Phil Hellmuth Sets Up for TASER at the Palms

e Phil Hellmuth experience is listening to how great he just played a hand and lost because the other player didn't have a high enough poker IQ to understand his play.

Now Phil will be playing for a different reason besides racking up more corporate sponsorships. The TASER Foundation assist families of fallen law enforcement officials. The tournaments described by the PokerNews Staff are a little different then the standard freezeouts:

The tournament, called 'Beauty and the Bet', has an interesting format, and will be an all day affair for those lucky enough to make the final three of either of the two events being held. The first event starts at noon and is a $500 No Limit Hold Em Freezeout. At 5pm, the high rollers in the group will play a $2,500 buy in No Limit event, with rebuys. The final three from each tournament will gather for a six person final table to play off for a great grand prize.

A chance for the lower roller to meet the high rollers in the final seems like a freeroll to snag a portion of the pot in the final six person final table. Excellent structure for those looking to give a little back to the community and potentially send Hellmuth off on one of his tirades. The tournament is taking place with the assistance of the always sexy Playboy bunnies at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 1st.
