Phil Ivey and The Corporation win $16.6 Million
Filed in archive Poker News on March 1, 2006

According to Card Player Magazine, Andy Beal was back in Vegas at the Wynn Casino and Hotel to play a member of the corporation a game of high stakes heads-up limit holdem. This time his opponent was Phil Ivey. Over the course of 3 days, at limits as high as 50k/100k, Ivey beat Texas Banker Andy Beal out of $16.6 million dollars.
This huge win easily erased the $10 million the corporation lost the week before when Ted Forrest, Jennifer Harmon, and Todd Brunson faced off against Beal. If there was any doubt before, this should put Phil Ivey's name at the top of the list of greatest poker players.
