Poker Tek, the Charlotte, NC based manufacturer of automated poker tables, announced a deal to install poker tables on Carnival cruise line's 2758 passenger Carnival Victory according to Card Player. The Poker Pro table combines the benefits of playing online with the speed and precision of playing on the Internet. The table has no dealer, no chips, and no cards. Players deposit money with a credit card and view their hole cards on a computer screen in front of them. The flop is seen in a big monitor in the center of the table. Players bet, raise, and fold by using a touch pad screen. Poker Tek has tables already in use at Seminole Hard Rock casinos in Hollywood and Tampa, Florida. With a lower rake, no dealer mistakes, and double the hands per hour, the Poker Pro table is the wave of the future in casino poker.
