Hopefully it's possible to fit all the updates coming from PokerStars on one page, but the recent slew of activity there goes to show why they are the biggest and the best. The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) is currently in Punta del Este, Uruguay for the inaugural LAPT event and has your infusion of details.

PokerStars High Rolling…
The massive buy-in for the EPT Grand Final generates one of the largest prize pools in poker worldwide. This year, the world's top players will have a shot at an even larger pot as PokerStars raises the stakes with EPT London. The event will be about $39,000 + $585 (£20,000 + £300) buy-in No Limit Hold'em EPT showdown with a nearly $2 million prize pool.

PokerStars 2009 Caribbean Adventure Dates Announced
The sixth annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) will kick off on January 4, 2008 at the atlantis resort and Casino in the Bahamas. The 2009 PCA's (an official PokerStars European Poker Tour event) playing field will include the majority of the 29 Team PokerStars Pros, including 2008 PCA Champion ElkY and WSOP Main Event Champions Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer and Chris Moneymaker along with poker legend Daniel Negreanu. At the 2008 PCA, ElkY took home the first prize of $2 million

"The PCA is always a special tournament for poker players, especially because the location is so great, there are so many online qualifiers and the atmosphere is very special. Players are usually much younger, too, and I know many more of them as we always play with each other on PokerStars," said ElkY following last year's win.

Last year's event attracted more than 1,000 players making it one of the largest ever playing fields outside of the U.S. and generating a massive prize pool of over $8.5 million.

PokerStars Doubling Up
PokerStars broke their own records yet again last week when over 8,000 players signed on to play in the Sunday Million, hitting the million-dollar prize pool guarantee for the second time. The Sunday Warm-Up did the same with a single re-buy in the event doubling the usual half million guarantee. The boost in payout was not simply due to the '2X' promotion though as the new $1.5 million prize pool for the Sunday Million is here to stay, as is a bump from $500k to $750k in the Sunday Warm-Up

The World's Biggest Online Poker Tournament is Nearly Here

EPT Debuts in Budapest
PokerStars has recently announced the first ever EPT event taking place in Hungary, alongside the successful events in Warsaw and Prague. The $6,700 (€4,350), four-day NLHE event will run from October 28-November 1, 2008 at the Las Vegas Casino, within the Sofitel Hotel in Hungary. This event should catch the attention of players from all over the world, including the growing number of Hungarian players who have been motivated by exceptional performances from fellow national Poker Pro's such as Denes Kalo and Valdemar Kwaysser.
