PokerStars Hits the Amazon Room Running

PokerStars determined once again to line the Amazon room at the Rio with the most players for the World Series of Poker Main Event has a few media releases about their Team PokerStars Pros and the army of the red spade forthcoming:
PokerStars Sets New Records with Players Headed to Vegas PokerStars player presence at the World Series of Poker is hitting new heights this year. In 2007 PokerStars sent 1,596 players to the main event and this year though over 2,000 players will be heading to Vegas under the PokerStars banner. That's more than other online sites combined. This year PokerStars will be offering 2000 seats to the WSOP, host a fabulous party at the Palms and see the return of its top Team PokerStars Pros like Daniel Negreanu, Joe Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer and Joe Hachem. This year also marks the five year anniversary of Chris Moneymaker's historic win at the Main Event. EPT Grand Final Winner no Longer Shown the Door Turning 21 is a rite of passage for anyone, but for one player it's even more special. Jeff Williams will be making his WSOP debut just less than three years after winning the EPT Monte Carlo. Williams was just 18 when he walked into the EPT Monte Carlo card room in 2006 to become the season two Grand Final champion, earning $1.39 million. Williams took second place in his first WSOP in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em re-buy event for $406,330. Team PokerStars Pro Makes Its Presence Felt With Team PokerStars Pros out in force, it hasn't taken long for them to start cashing at this year's World Series of Poker. Gavin Griffin made some moves early on, as did former world championTom McEvoy. Chad Brown has three cashes so far after finishing 23rd in the $10,000 Mixed Championship for $16,243. Victor Ramdin is close behind with two cashes which came back to back - first in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em 6-handed event, then in the $1,500 Limit Hold'em. Meanwhile, Daniel Negreanu narrowly missed out on his first final table of the series, finishing 11th for $33,417 in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud event. Today Barry Greenstein stalks the final table in Event #18.
