PokerStars.TV is Born

Remember watching Hevad Khan aka Rainkhan go three degrees of nuts on ESPN a few times during the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event? Maybe a couple of times? Now, catch the Team PokerStars Pro in a little more calm light with the launch PokerStars.TV bringing some very cool tools to all the poker fanbois out there. From videos of the European Poker Tour to the lovely Kara Scott chat about her current run in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Another cool feature is the "Sweat the Hand" series where you seen one person's hand like Chris Moneymaker's in this video http://www.pokerstars.tv/pokerstars/channels/7148/movies/2813.htmlalong with the PokerStars.tv commentary.

Today sees the official launch of PokerStars.tv, the new video portal brought to you by PokerStars; the world's largest online poker room.

PokerStars.tv is still in beta development, but already hosts hours of great poker clips, as well as the latest video blogs from the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas . PokerStars.tv is the place to go, to find great action clips from major poker tournaments around the world; like, the EPT, APPT and World Cup of Poker. You can also find player profiles, interviews and top tips from the biggest names in poker.

"The team working on PokerStars.tv are all poker players. Our goal was simply to build a site that allowed us to see our favourite poker clips at any time - and that's what PokerStars.tv allows you to do" said Conrad Brunner, Head of TV & Digital Production at PokerStars. "There are some outstanding poker hands to watch and enjoy. With the excellent video blogs flooding in from the WSOP, there is new material being added every day."

PokerStars.tv will host popular live webcasts and video blogs, and will continue to expand its archive of great poker action indefinitely.

Key features on the site include the search function, which allows players to select specific poker hands. As Daniel Negreanu explains: "Just enter a hand like 'Jack-Jack' or 'Ace-King' and you can find out how it's been played in all sorts of different situations by some of the world's great and not so great players! It's a terrific way to learn more about the game."

PokerStars.tv Freeroll:

To celebrate the launch of PokerStars.tv, there will be a special online freeroll held at 14.30 ET everyday throughout the WSOP main event (July 3-14). Each tournament is free to enter, and has $100 prize money added. The top three players from each day will qualify through to the PokerStars.tv freeroll final on July 19, with the champion winning an EPT Barcelona package worth $16,700.
