Police Raid Home of WSOP Main Event 6TH Place Finisher
San Antonio, Texas police raided the home of Doug Lee, the 6th place finisher in the 2006 WSOP Main Event. According to WOAI News, police served a warrant to bust a gambling ring in Shavano Park in suburban San Antonio. Lee has been charged with running a computer bookmaking operation from this house. The vice detectives have authority to seize anything in the house that may have been purchased with gambling proceeds including 3 cars. To view the actual WOAI News Report, click here. The police believe that Lee runs the largest illegal online gambling operation in San Antonio from this house. Sounds like a bad beat.
