The Professional Poker Tour debuts tonight at 9 PM EST on The Travel Channel. The PPT takes the spot of the highly successful World Poker Tour on The Travel Channel for the next 24 weeks. Unlike the WPT, the PPT will showcase the best players in the world during the early rounds of the tournament not just at the final table. This makes for some interesting deep stack play that puts a emphasis on post flop play. Players are selected for the PPT on an invitation only basis. Players qualify by doing well in the WPT or WSOP. Professional player Mark Seif and Matt Corboy will call the action.
