Rebuy Rebuy Rebuy FTOPS V Event #5
The lowest buy in tourney at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series is the $109 rebuy tourney...

... unless you're prepared to rebuy of course.

To play a rebuy tourney an optimal player should always have the means to rebuy as many time as needed in order to take advantage of those clutching onto their chips like rent money. With 1,678 players beginning event number five, 1322 rebuys/add-ons would need to made for the $300,000 Guarantee to be broken. Of course will all its FTOPS events, the guarantee was met and laughed at, as 3084 rebuys and add-ons were made for a plump prize pool of $476,200.

World Poker Tour champion Roland De Wolf dropped by to host the rebuy madness that awarded a fat six figures to the winner, not bad for a potiential minimum $109 investment (not counting those who won satellite seats).

GBecks toppled 20KJAY heads up when his A7 was good enough to call a pre-flop push by 20KJAY who held only K5. The best hand held up for the win, $102,383.00, and GBecks will have access to the FTOPS gold football player to strike fear into those who invade his table. Here's part of Full Tilt.com's recap of GBecks' FTOPS victory:

... At a time when the table was playing tight, 20KJAY turned on the gas. He had four unanswered all-in bets, and was stealing pot after pot. Before long, he was the chip leader and putting distance between himself and everyone else. The former chip leader GB2005 was now the short stack and lost everything when his pocket Jacks got beat by flopdisasta's set of 10s.

Out in fourth place, darkbet must've looked pretty grim when he pushed in over 1.5 million chips with A-K and picked up a second King on the flop, but then got beat by 20KJAY whose filled the flush draw on the turn. flopdisasta joined him on the rail just a few minutes later when 20KJAY's set of 9s bested his pocket Jacks. When the table reached heads-up play, 20KJAY had over six million chips. GBecks had one million. But the aggression that propelled 20KJAY to the top seemed to ebb. GBecks, who was being cheered on by his friend and Full Tilt Pro Jeff Madsen, was on the attack. The turning point came when GBecks bet 2 million on a board of A-J-A-J-9. With more than a million of his chips already committed to the pot, 20KJAY folded his hand and gave the chip lead to GBecks. In the last hand, 20KJAY went all in (1.8 million chips) with K-5 suited. GBecks called with A-7. The flop didn't help either player, but GBecks picked up a second Ace on the turn for the win.

With 1,678 players, 2,277 rebuys, and 807 add-ons, the $300K guaranteed prize pool swelled to $476,200, giving $66,558 to 20KJAY and $102,383 to GBecks.
