Small Stakes Update #4

Small Stakes Update #4

The fun never stops while you're sitting around looking for cards to complete your night of paying blinds and watching the chips slide across the table to the gentleman playing cards that you would have "auto-fold" clicked on.

Bluffs are a waste of time if the opponent doesn't comprehend the level twenty-four poker move you're trying to pull on the gecko icon. The smaller stakes have been somewhat droll and sleep-inducing for me as I've tacked on a couple more sessions to my personal Small Stakes Challenge to me, myself, and I.

Starting with $60 my bankroll last week was sitting at a healthier $131.33 thanks to a nice run of cards and wonderful players of Absolute Poker providing the calls needed to win a few bucks. This week two sessions totaling four and a half hours of play tacked on a few more dollars to my soon-to-be-a-World Series of Poker-buy-in.

Probably not, but one can dream right?

Session #1:
Pot Omaha Eight or Better
Blinds: $.25/$.50
Full Ring
150 Minutes
Starting amount: $20
Ending amount: $66.35

"I love it when a plan comes together". The A-Team visited my hand and when you flop a nut full house and get two callers, there's a chance you'd see me putting together some of the worst dance moves that should not be seen by humans, animals, or vegetables. Its sad that the whole session came down to one hand, but never whine about free money at the tables.

Session #2:
Pot Omaha Eight or Better
Blinds: $.25/$.50
Full Ring
150 Minutes
Starting amount: $40
Ending amount: $32.25

The fold button was starting to take up the whole screen as I managed to play about 7% of my hands and "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" started to take my attention. There's no naked-ace bluffing as a minimum of three people were calling down almost every hand. The small loss is attributed to auto-paying the blinds and getting only a couple of small pots.

Time for the funky math:

Starting Bankroll: $131.33
Winner! Week 4: $38.60
Equals: $169.93

Only $1,330.07 for the buy in to the $1,500 PLO8 WSOP tourney!! Sigh.
