While on break yesterday at work I was able to catch a major hand happening at the PokerStars Caribbeans Adventure final table live thanks to the people at EuropeanPokerTour.com showing a live webcast. No hole cards were shown as David Pham pushed a not-so-minimal amount into the circle while re-raising Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier for a good chuck of his big stack.

The board read Qd 5h Jh Kd, and ElkY moved the required chips to call back and forth perhaps hoping "The Dragon" had air if he was going to call with just an overcard and the nut flush draw. The chips went into the pot for a nearly 9 million chip pot, the winner would have a sizable chip lead with four left as Pham turned over a flopped two pair with Q5 offsuit and ElkY with Ad7d was left with 12 outs to hit the gutshot straight or the nut flush.

If you read this morning on the PokerStarsBlog.com who the winner was then you'd also know that ElkY hit his flush, eliminating the 2007 Cardplayer Player of the Year in the fourth place. For the win Grospellier took home $2 million and satisfaction of the victory after not being able to pull off the win while heads up at the EPT Copenhagen.
