Touchdown to WPBT in T-minus 24 Hours
Filed in archive Poker Blogs on December 6, 2007
The bags are packed (theoretically), the plane ticket is purchased (I do have that done!), and hours countdown to stepping on a plane at the Lindberg terminal is now 24 hours away.
This will be my second Vegas trip of the year, the first was more of business trip with pleasure coming after my busting out of the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Eight or Better event with little fanfare. While essentially I am going for a poker tournament, this is time its all pleasure due to the company of my fellow scribes, many of whom have already invaded the city of sin with their lips smacking due to the juicy cash game tables. The National Rodeo is in town at the same time as our band of card slingers take over the geisha Bar at the Imperial Palace to the mixed game madness at the MGM on Friday night.
The mixed game of course is open to the public, so if you're in town and would like to meet a few poker bloggers pull up a chair, I'm sure you'll get a few stories before those racks in front of you disappear. On Saturday we all head over to the sparkling Venetian for our annual tournament and biggest part of the World Poker Bloggers Tour trip. Here is were everyone catches up on old times, or gets set to make new memories.
With the estimated amount of players at 140, someone will be walking out with a serious chunk of change for the Pai Gow tables afterwards as well. Good luck to all my fellow writers and see you in 24 hours!
