Tribeca Network of online poker rooms has recently decided to exit the United States market. They are joining Party Poker and slew of other poker rooms to bar U.S. players from their servers due to the clamping down of online poker in the United States.

More U.S. players to join PokerStars, Full Tilt, Absolute, and UltimateBet? The weekend tourneys are still hitting their guarantees, the full tilt online poker Series made all of their minimum payouts, and there doesn't seem to be any slowing down except the rate of moving money in and out of the sites.

It remains to be seen what the future will bring to online poker in the U.S., the World Series of Poker will certainly show a barometer of the future of all poker and show if the online poker explosion really has had an effect on the popularity of this game.

In a surprise move, Tribeca Tables Poker Network will no longer be allowing US customers to play at its poker sites as of today. Tribeca hosts several top online poker rooms including the highly acclaimed Doyle's Room.

Please note this important update as of 2:37 pm ET

All US IPs will be banned effective February 28. No new customers from the US will be allowed effective today.

While Tribeca announced a few months ago that they would no longer be allowing US customers at its poker rooms, those being served on the Tribeca network believed they had more time to find a new network.

In the case of Doyle's Room, Straight Flush and BetUS.com Poker, this means there could be up to 6 weeks before US poker players are allowed back in the website. There is a risk of losing valuable customers over this time period.

Doyles Room and other gaming sites currently on the Tribeca Network were in the process of developing their own network with an anticipated launch date for next month. Technicians are likely to be working around the clock in an effort to get the date moved up.

The poker rooms affected will continue to take on customers outside the US until the new network is in place.

Please note that this is only a temporary situation and that Doyles Room and Straight Flush will be taking US customers once again within the next month.
