Washington State Shoots Down Virtual Cards

:"You're as vile as a child molester"
The arcane amendment enacted a couple of years ago to include online gambling into the state's wire act to ban gambling over the phone was the source of debate at the King County counthouse a few days ago. Unfortunately for the proponents of getting this law off the books, the judge ruled in favor of upholding the 2006 law.
Lee Rousso (pictured above), who is the Washington State Director of the Poker Players Alliance and making run at the state's governor seat, argued on behalf of the state's virtual card players. Adding weight to the debate were longtime pros Andy Bloch and Barry Greenstein who added the following quote:
"the politicians are dictating what you can do in the privacy of your own home. Makes it look like a pretty backward place."
Regardless of the outcome, Rousso has vowed to continue the fight all the way to Washington D.C.'s supreme court to get someone to realize the hypocrisy of allowing brick and mortar card rooms but not allowing the low limit working parents the opportunity to play a little $.05/$.10 on PokerStars after their kids get a good night kiss.
