WCOOP Big Finale and Events #25 and #26

Looming in the winds as the final weekend of the 2008 World Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars are the big events: $1,050 Pot Limit Omaha, $10,300 H.O.R.S.E., and the huge $5,200 Event #33, the Main Event with a staggering $10 million guarantee.

Before the weekend we have some hefty paydays for a great deal of players, as both guarantees were met during Wednesday's Event #25 $320 w/rebuys PLO, and Event #26 $320 NLHE 6-max.

Event #25 was won by well known online tournament player shaundeeb as he hit the final table running with the chip lead. Other highly praised players, Cliff "JohnnyBax" Joesphy and ely_cash41 were on hand (but either one got rolling finishing 9th and 8th respectively). Deeb took home the 1st place prize of $144,112.50 followed by "TheNew" in 2nd who also scored a 6-figure payday for $103,761.

Event #26 gathered a massive 3,273 players for a mid-week, mid-day tournament (for US players) showing the pulling power of the WCOOP. dorinvandy, winner of the massive $10,300 high roller tourney, made the final table here and added $31,499.36 to his already successful tournament series. But it was rubentv, the final table chip leader who took home the bracelet and $135,687.84 for the win.
