WCOOP Number Six Starts Spet. 14th
If you're a poker player bracelets and bankroll are your scoreboard. The amount of money a person wins at the tables is supposed to be a barometer to your skill. As with tournament poker, the amount of bracelets you have won will determine if a poker site will throw some cash your way in exchange for wearing their quasi-legal apparel at the tables.
The Sixth World Championship of Online Poker played at PokerStars.com will launch the 2007 edition starting September 14th with a 6-max No Limit Hold Em' tournament. For variations of poker online, its tough to beat PokerStars as this year's WCOOP will feature Draw, Triple Draw, Omaha, Stud, razz, Shootouts, and a $5,000 buy in H.O.R.S.E. tourney that's sure to bring out a pros to show off their versatility at the tables.
Buy-ins for the events can cost you as little as a few FPPs (frequent players points) to the $215-$5,200 range if you have the means to buy in directly and not go thru satellites like some of us low rollers. Will the $2,600 buy in Main Event with a $5 million dollar guarantee crown another "live" pro like J.C. Chan with the WCOOP main event bracelet? We'll find out next month.
