WPBT Winter Classic is One Week Away

From the moment I stepped off the plane at McCarran airport, to watching Joe Hachem and Marcel Luske take their seats behind me in the Poker Tent at the Rio, I had only poker on my mind, with a strategy in the Pot Limit Omaha Eight or Better event that would make a nice profit for my fellow internet Scribes
. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as the mix of calling stations and nits made it difficult for me to grab any ground on horrible flops that I took with good starting hands. But, enough about my pipe dream to a WSOP bracelet, this time when I touch down it will be for the enjoyment of the cards and chips being flung haphazardly across the felt when over 100 poker bloggers next week will tilt unsuspecting players with their hammer throws and check-raises. If you'd like to find out more about this event, or even join into the fun head over to Falstaff's page for the details on the couple of events the WPBT is putting on. My favorite is always the Friday night mixed games at the MGM where I attempt to buy out half of the $1 chips in the room to make stupid looking towers...
... then give away the tops of them to my friends and waitresses over the course of the night.
