WSOP 2008 Schedule

According to the release (found from the helpful ones at Pokerati.com) there will be eight different "championships" which carry a $10,000 price tag to enter and will bookend the entire tournament series. They will be starting with the Pot-Limit Hold Em' Championship and ending of course with the Main Event which will remain in the No Limit Hold Em' format.
Personally my calendar is marked for June 24th at noon, as that's the Pot Limit Omaha Eight or Better $1,500 event. Whether or not I play this year will depend if Home Depot decides they need more money to finish my kitchen and how the UIGEA regulations shake out with the fate of US-friendly online poker hanging in its balance.
Also added is an event that really incorporates your poker abilities, and is one of the $10,000 Championship events:
The six other $10,000 buy-in events - all World Championship competitions - include: Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'Em; Seven-Card Stud; Limit Hold'Em; Omaha Hi-Low Split Eight or Better; Pot-Limit Omaha; and a new Mixed Event. The Mixed Event will feature eight variations of poker: Limit and No-Limit Hold'Em; Omaha Hi-Low and Pot-Limit Omaha; Seven Card Stud; Razz; Seven Card Hi-Low Split; and 2-7 Triple Draw lowball.
