WSOP Event #1 on ESPN Tonight
Think of tonight as the season premier of your favorite show which last left off with the single dad finding his lost love from college who happens to have an 17 old kid that might be his, while the daughter runs away with Cody the mysterious tattoo'd biker, and younger sibling Ryan is left at a party staring at the bong in the middle of the room. This year poker fans did not have to wait several months for their new group of characters to join the old at the 2008 World Series of Poker. ESPN is trying out a new formula for fresher viewing as the last WSOP event in the Amazon room just finished up two weeks ago.

Tonight begins the replay of several bracelet events on ESPN leading up to the announcement of the "November Nine" of the Main Event. Call it a CSI storyline with one of the crew trapped in a glass box while Grissom gathers clues to find him, except the finale for this show will be shown "live" in an exciting conclusion of next three months of hype that (hopefully) will surround the relatively unknown nine final tablists.

Starting off the television season with a bang tonight, one of the biggest final tables of the 2008 WSOP was the Event #1 $10,000 Championship of Pot Limit Hold Em'
Anyone for an over/bet on how many Phil Laak push ups will be done?
