But, it was all-universe player Phil Ivey that suffered a little hit to his bluffing abilities during the hand that mirrored a hand I played during the 28K Guarantee at Full Tilt last night. Pham's elimination hand started with his TT versus Black's AQs all-in pre-flop, and before the flop Ivey uttered "I folded TT".
Sure enough the flop comes A T 9, so barring a fouled deck; Ivey got caught with a little white lie and just never really made the run towards the one bracelet he still doesn't hold. I was playing for just a tad less then the millions sitting on a podium in Benny's bullpen as the pirate avatar claimed to be folding TT after my reraise of a short stack's all-in. For a moment when the shorty popped up JJ to my own TT, I was going to take the chance to grab another beer since I would be basically drawing dead. Instead, a ten popped out on the river as I was two steps from some tasty barley hops, and my lying opponent was left wondering if his bluffs would be believed.
